Laura recently finished playing several public shows as well as shows at Denison's historic Rialto Theater, the Arkansas Governor's Mansion and the Las Vegas Comedy Festival. She is currently doing private shows and working on relocating to Las Vegas. More public shows will be scheduled soon.

INFO ON BOOKING OUR SHOWS:

"My Ship Has Sailed" can be booked by upscale supper clubs and bars, theaters and cabarets; corporate events, fundraisers and large-scale private parties, such as birthday celebrations. Its inspirational message, pointed humor and wonderful music make it an ideal program for female-owned or oriented businesses and women's professional and social organizations, although it appeals to both sexes and a wide age range. It has even proven popular with the gay male audience (Laura has performed excerpts from "My Ship" on Q Television's "Jack E. Jett Show" to great reaction.)

The performers can provide their own instruments and PA equipment, if needed. There is also a pre-show mood-setting slide show, combining quotes on aging by celebrites with humorously terrifying cosmetics ads from 1890-1975. During the performance, visuals appear behind Laura to illustrate jokes and songs. These are run from a laptop and video projector, which we can provide. We can also provide a projection screen for smaller, non-theater venues.

A demo DVD, photos and promotional materials and poster and flier templates are available upon request to help publicize your performance of "My Ship Has Sailed."

"Cole Porter: Elegance & Decadence" starring Laura Ainsworth and singer/pianist Michael Gott is the perfect sophisticated entertainment for upscale cabarets, theater venues, luxury cruises and private/corporate events seeking a touch of class, with some of the greatest music and wittiest lyrics ever written. We can provide a demo DVD, photo files and customizable templates for fliers and posters to help publicize your performance.

CUSTOM SHOWS: If you need special entertainment for your event (all standards, all Gershwin, all Turn-of-the-Century songs, or whatever), we are ready to accommodate you. Laura is a very versatile singer who works with some of the finest musicians in Texas, and she can create great custom shows to fit your needs. Also, as a world-renowned radio comedy writer and creator of parody songs, as well as an ITVA Golden Reel Award-winner for her corporate writing, she would be happy to write special lyrics for your occasion, for an extra fee.

LOGISTICS AND COST:

If you need to rent a venue to present the show in Dallas, hire caterers, etc. we can help with that, through our relationships with local theater, club and restaurant owners and event planners. Laura is a member of the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau and has relationships to many very reputable service providers.

Terms depend on various factors, including the nature of the gig, size of the audience, travel requirements and requests for Laura to write custom lyrics. We will gladly work with you on payment arrangements, to make it easy, convenient and affordable for you to present our shows and stay within your budget. We even accept all major credit cards and PayPal.
